“Grace is God’s gift to us; since it’s a free gift, it can’t be earned by our works!” – Ephesians 1:6
Grace is the undeserved, unearned and unmerited favor of God. Simply put, faith is the pipeline of grace (God’s unmerited favor). Paul says we have access by faith into the grace wherein we stand. It is by grace through faith that we tap into the super-natural power of God to receive answers.
Faith is the determining factor of whether we do or don’t partake of grace (God’s unmerited favor). This means the grace (God’s unmerited favor) can only be accessed through our faith!
We tap into the riches of grace (God’s unmerited favor) by our believing. When we settle this in our heart and mind, we’ll avoid being misled by Satan’s lies, inaccurate feelings, or contrary circumstances. Our walk with God is all about believing His Word as the final authority in our lives over what we see, think, hear, feel, or experience.
Paul explains in Romans 5:20-21 that where the Law (rules & regulations – dos & don’ts) came in trans-gressions increased, but where sin increased, grace (God’s unmerited favor) abounded all the more so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace (God’s unmerited favor) would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. As we read in Romans 6 we see that grace is not an excuse to sin.
Grace (God’s unmerited favor) is what God has given us; faith is the response to grace (God’s unmerited favor). If we believe we’re no different than those who haven’t been liberated by grace (God’s unmerited favor), we’ll live as they do, in the ordinary. We’ll live a captive to this world’s system.
However, when we allow God’s Word to change how we see ourselves, and we truly believe it in our hearts, then we’ll begin to live like heaven’s royalty; we’ll tap into grace (God’s unmerited favor) and live in the realm of the extraordinary!
