Uniquely You

Do you stand out in a crowd or do you just blend in with everyone else? Do you wear the same clothes, making the same fashion statement as those around you? Do you style your hair the same as all your friends? Do you say the same thing just because ‘everyone is saying it’?

Most people don’t realize they will be more successful in life if they differentiate themselves from others.

People try to fit into a mold and be what others want them to be; only to end up disappointed with themselves and in bondage.

What we’re required to do is be exactly who we are…who God created us to be. Unique. When we act like ourselves, there is no fake façade or story to remember. Our uniqueness is what others will like and respect in us, and that is what separates us from the crowd.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5.

Just as God called and appointed Jeremiah for a specific plan, He’s done the same for you! He created you with a specific purpose.

Today, in every moment of your day, start being who you truly are. The person God created you to be. Full of life, full of joy, and full of love! Don’t change who you are depending on the situation or who you’re taking to.

The more you are you, the more success you will have and the more wealth you will attract. Be unique, be free, be YOU! The YOU God created you to be.

Blessing

“I am” is covenant talk in the Bible, so when I read “I am” I know that it’s the same as reading “Jesus is” because Jesus paid the price for me to be in a Blood Covenant. As He is, so am I.

In my hunger for growth this year, I decided to focus on the Blessing of Abraham. I’ve heard it before, and it seems that everyone is writing about it this year, but I wanted to know more. So, I’m going to share some of my revelation with you!

Since I am the seed of Abraham, according to Galatians 3:13-14, 29, “Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law, being made a curse for me; for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree; that the Blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles (me) through Jesus Christ; that I might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith…And if I am Christ’s, then I am Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

Therefore, I have the Blessing because I am Abraham’s seed thanks to Jesus’ shed Blood! (His Blood Covenant with me!)

As I meditated on these scriptures, I began getting a deeper revelation of the Blood Covenant I have with Father God. Just as God was faithful to Abraham and Jesus, He’s faith to me. Abraham, Jesus and I have the same exact Covenant with God because of our faith! WOW! How awesome is that!! I’m not under the curse, or the Law, any more! I’m blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places because I’m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and Abraham’s blessing is my blessing!

I don’t have to be in lack or under finan-cial curse any more. I don’t have to have sickness or disease in my body any more! I’ve been redeemed from the curse and re-positioned into the Blessing of Abraham!

“It’s the Blessing of the Lord that makes us rich and He adds no sorrow to it!” Proverbs 10:22. I challenge you to take your rightful position in the Blessing today!

A Fresh Crop

“Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him.” Revelations 22:1-3.

I’m convinced, as you read this verse, you are like me in that you will have new revelation of God’s Word explode on the inside of you! Lately, as I’ve read and studied the Word of God, a new hunger has been stirred on the inside of me! I hunger and thirst for more revelation knowledge of the Word because I’ve come to the realization that I’m not walking in revelation of what I already have – what Jesus has already paid the price for me to possess!

As l read these verses, “yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations” came alive to me. In the natural, I can’t name a tree that produces new fruit every month? However, in the spiritual realm, this means a continuous harvest of a fresh crop is available to us; a continuous harvest of healing. Not just healing for the physical body, but healing for the mind (revelation); healing for finances (restoration); healing for every area of your life, for every person in Christ!

Psalm 103:2, reads, “Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits.”

Every month you have a fresh crop of healing! That mean in your personal age – where you are right now, this very moment; your personal situation, you have access to fresh healing, fresh restoration, fresh mercy, because it is one of God’s benefits.

“It is because of the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

God is faithful to deliver what you stand in faith to receive; be it healing, restoration, mercy, grace, or whatever you need. He is faithful!

Always Triumphant

First Corinthians 10:13, “No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.” Faith will look for a way of escape. Doubt and unbelief won’t look for an escape route. Doubt and unbelief will fall on the floor, bury their nose in carpet and cry, knowing that there’s a doorway leading out of the room if they’ll just look up, look around, find it, and start moving.

When the devil talks to you, you have to answer him. Victory has a voice! When he tells you you’re not going to make it this time, remind him the Word of God tells you in 2 Corinthians 2:14, “…God always causes us (me) to triumph in Christ!” We “Submit ourselves to God, resist he devil and he’ll flee from you.” James 4:7.

If the devil’s telling you it’s not going to work for you this time, that’s your guarantee of knowing that he’s lying to you, and you’re on the very brink of your breakthrough if you won’t stop! Simply resist the devil; tell him he’s a liar and he has to shut up!

Thank God for the gift of the Holy Spirit. If you’re listening to him, He’ll reveal Bible verses for you to stand on. God is faithful. He will always provide you an escape route!

How many times has the devil told you that your circumstances are beyond what you are able to endure, or you can’t do anything about them? How many times has he told you that your faith wasn’t strong enough, or you didn’t have enough faith to overcome the situation you’re in right now? Or maybe he’s told you that you were beyond your own strength, you were out of your league and you should just give up and quit now because you were in over your head?

All those are lies of the devil! Smoke and mirrors! However, the Holy Spirit will tell you God is faithful to you. He will not allow you to be tested, and tried above that which you are able, but with the temptation he will make a way of escape. It doesn’t matter what you get into; how dark it may seem at the moment; or that you can’t see victory on the horizon; if you’ll believe the Word of God, there’s a way out of your situation that will produce victory!

Decree A Thing

There’s power in your words! “Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit – you choose.” Proverbs 18:21.

God created the world and everything in it by His words and it still stands today. When a king gives a decree, it is carried out as he decreed it. We’re made in God’s image and He’s given us His Name and authority to rule and reign in our domain by the power of our words. We’re heirs and joint-heirs with Jesus Christ. That in itself should give you revelation that you were created for victory!

Since Jesus is the King of kings and we are joint heirs with him; we’re created to rule and reign in our domain and speak forth decrees, just as a king would do to fulfill what he wants accomplished in his kingdom.

My three favorite Bible versions are The Message Bible, The Amplified Bible, and the New American Standard Bible. It’s good to read and study different Bible translations to get a better understanding of God’s word. Therefore, I want to share Job 22:28 in those three versions.

“You’ll take delight in God, the Mighty One, and look to him joyfully, boldly. You’ll pray to him and he’ll listen; he’ll help you do what you’ve promised. You’ll decide what you want and it will happen; your life will be bathed in light. To those who feel low you’ll say, ‘Chin up! Be brave! And God will save them. Yes, even the guilty will escape, escape through God’s grace in your life.”

“You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God’s favor] shall shine upon your ways.”

“You will also decree a thing and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways.”

I believe this is a life-time nugget to personalize for yourself; to meditate on; to ponder and let it explode into revelation knowledge!

As you decide what you want your life to look like, start decreeing it as the king you are! Just as God spoke the world into existence, you can use your words to speak and decree your world into existence according to Job 22:28. Open your mouth. Fill it with good words. Decree your victorious future and watch it manifest before your eyes!

Humility

Many of us hear the Word of God every day. Sometimes we read it, listen to it on CD, our i-phones, i-pods, i-pads, nooks or kindles. The Word of God is available in more than 26 translations and in various languages. The Word is more readily available now than ever before.

However, that doesn’t mean that we are taking advantage of technology or various translations to get the Word into our heart. I love God’s Word, but I can assure you that I haven’t arrived yet and I still need to feed my spirit man the Word of God.

Several months ago I had the blessing of working with a personal trainer to jump start my exercise program. As we walked on the track she began telling me what exercises to do and how to do them to produce the best benefits for my time invested in exercising.

At first I agreed with her and told her I knew what she was talking about because I had exercised in the past. She continued with her instructions and again, I knew what she was explaining and agreed with her. It was common knowledge to me what she was saying. Then, something phenomenal happened – some would call it a light bulb moment! As she continued to explain the simple exercises, the Holy Spirit clearly told me “It’s not what you know that makes a difference in your life; it’s what you do with what you know!”

In that moment of walking on the track the Holy Spirit revealed a life-changing nugget that I continuously revisit. He put pride and humility into perspective for me in a split second! In James 4:17 we read, “Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.” NASB. The Message says it like this, “As it is, you are full of your grandiose selves. All such vaunting self-importance is evil. In fact, if you know the right things to do and don’t do it, that, for you, is evil.”

I liken my exercise program to reading and acting on the Word of God. In many instances I know what God’s Word says; however, it is like my exercise program! It doesn’t matter what I know (pride) – it matters what I do (humility)!

In the simple act of humbling myself to read and listen to God’s love letters to me, I reap endless benefits as I act on what I read and hear. I purpose in my heart to step out in faith and be a doer of God’s Word; to act on what I know. How about you? Will you take a step of faith and act on what you know?

Strength

You may have weakness, but God has strength. You may have sin, but God has grace. You may fail, but God remains faithful!

We have all felt weak at some point in our life – or we will feel weak and inadequate in the future, if not now! However, in Hebrews 11:33-34, we learn about the great men of faith…”who by faith conquered kingdoms, performed acts of righteousness, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight.”

And in Second Corinthians 13:1-10 we read what Paul wrote to the church at Corinth, “This is the third time I am coming to you. Every fact is to be confirmed by the testimony of two or three witnesses. I have previously said when present the second time, and though now absent I say in advance to those who have sinned in the past and to all the rest as well, that if I come again I will not spare anyone, since you are seeking for proof of the Christ who speaks in me, and who is not weak toward you, but mighty in you. For indeed He was crucified because of weakness, yet He lives because of the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, yet we will live with Him because of the power of God directed toward you. Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test? But I trust that you will realize that we ourselves do not fail the test. Now we pray to God that you do no wrong; not that we ourselves may appear approved, but that you may do what is right, even though we may appear unapproved. For we can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth. For we rejoice when we ourselves are weak but you are strong; this we also pray for, that you be made complete. For this reason I am writing these things while absent, so that when present I need not use severity, in accordance with the authority which the Lord gave me for building up and not for tearing down.”

God is able to prove Himself strong on our behalf when our knees are shaking, or when we are weak emotionally.

Confession

Faith isn’t faith until you open your mouth and speak it! Faith is mental assent, however, mental assent become faith by action, or confession. Real faith is a living, moving force. Confession is faith’s confirmation. When you constantly affirm the things that God is to you and who you are in God, and the things you are in Jesus Christ and what Jesus is in you, you are giving faith wings to reach a higher altitude in the spirit realm.

Faith confessions are as much a part of victory as is the Blood of the Lamb! The Bible says “we overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony” in Revelations 12:11. God doesn’t accept faith unless it is confessed. When you stop your faith confessions, faith stops growing and acting on God’s promises becomes more difficult.

When you exercise your faith, it is a creative force that only expresses itself through confession. Just as God said, “Let there be light, and there was light,” you can use your faith-filled words as a creative force to design your future of your choice.

The creative ability that was in Jesus is God’s nature as well. Since you have God’s nature on the inside of you, you are a partaker of the divine nature of God (2 Peter 1:4); therefore, that same creative power is on the inside of you! However, it must be manifested through your confessions.

You can dominate your future just as Jesus dominated the laws of nature by His faith-filled words. A great example of Jesus using his faith is when he called Lazarus forth from the grave in John 11:43, and Lazarus obeyed the words.

You have a choice to either speak creative faith-filled or doubt-filled words to design your future. I encourage you to take your place of authority and fearlessly face your enemy to speak to him in the Name of Jesus. He can’t stand before you and angels are standing ready to go to work on your behalf. As you speak the living Word of God through faith, you will realize you are more than a conqueror!

God’s Drawn to Movement

When it comes to receiving from God, according to His Word, it’s your move! God’s already moved and He’s waiting on you to step out in faith – make a move, respond to His word!

With God, if you keep moving, He’ll keep moving. You’ll always be moving forward; you can’t lose. However, when you quit moving, or quit speaking His Word, that’s when you start losing.

First Corinthians 4:7 says, “…what do you have that you did not receive?” The way you enjoy the blessings God’s provided for you is simply receive them by faith. It doesn’t matter where you were born or what your status is in life, God created you to enjoy His blessings. You can move from a position of defeat to a position of victory; however, you’ll have to make a move toward God to receive those blessings and benefits by faith.

God’s still God even though you go through trials and tribulations. It doesn’t matter if you’re in the midst of the biggest trial of your life – you’ve still got victory – because your story isn’t over! You still haven’t written the last two words at the end of your story!

When you get to the end of the test or trial, if you’re still in faith – believing God – there’s victory with your name on it!

Some Christians start out believing God, and then they get in the middle of a trial and say “I thought God was going to come through for me, but I guess He’s not.” When believers make that confession, they’ve just quit receiving from, and moving with God because they moved over into the arena of worry, doubt, fear, and unbelief. When they quit moving with God, God quits moving with them! It’s not that He wants to quit; He can’t move with worry, doubt, fear, and unbelief. He moves upon faith filled words. You must make the right moves by believing God and saying what His Word says about your situation.

To keep moving forward, you can’t speak doubt and unbelief and expect to receive from God, and you can’t earn God’s blessings through works. You receive by faith what God’s already done for you. Simply tap into the finished work!

Honor

By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life. Proverbs 22:4 Honor is the central focus to all other principles of the Bible. Proverbs has much to say about honor and covenant by a wise man who’s teaching his son how to live a righteous life style.

Abraham was chosen by God to establish His covenant because He knew Abraham would teach his children to “keep the ways of the Lord”…or in other words, he would live a life based on and filled with honor for God. Genesis 18:17-19. When he did this, Abraham was in right-standing with God.

Proverbs 21:21 tells us that “He who pursues righteousness and loyalty finds life, righteousness and honor.”  Jesus repeated these same words in Matthew 6:33, when He said, “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”  In these two verses we’re guaranteed that anyone who follows, or seeks, after mercy and righteousness (right-standing with God) will receive both with honor.

The person who gives will find life, dominion, authority, and honor. Matthew 10:39 reminds us “He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.” In order to give, a person must make himself vulnerable just as Jesus did when He gave Himself on the cross for us. Losing sight of ourselves will cause us to find life. When he gives his life, or puts it at risk, when he make himself vulnerable obeying the Word of God, he places himself in a position in which God can trust him with dominion, authority, life, and honor.

To go a step further, the Word of God tells us that we are to honor one another in Romans 12:10, “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor.”  The honor of God (His covenant with us) will change our attitude.  When we live in honor, it brings God into the situation.

When we honor the covenant God offers us, He’ll honor us with love, grace, mercy, and prosperity.
