Decrees for Children

God is the strength of my life. I can do anything with Jesus in me.
Light, space, zest— that’s God! So, with him on my side I’m fearless, afraid of no one and nothing. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. (Psalm 27:1, Philippians 4:13)

I love others because You first loved me.
Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love.

Jesus inside of me is bigger than the devil who is in the world.
My dear children, you come from God and belong to God. You have already won a big victory over those false teachers, for the Spirit in you is far stronger than anything in the world.

Jesus is my light. I will let my light shine all the time so everyone can see Jesus in me.
What came into existence was Life, and the Life was Light to live by. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.

Your Word is in my heart and protects me when I’m asleep or awake. Thank You, Father, for always being with me.
Mark well that God doesn’t miss a move you make; he’s aware of every step you take. The shadow of your sin will overtake you; you’ll find yourself stumbling all over yourself in the dark.
(Proverbs 5:21-22)

Thank You, Father, that Your angels watch over me. Any weapon that is aimed at me will be turned away.
“But no weapon that can hurt you has ever been forged. Any accuser who takes you to court will be dismissed as a liar. This is what God’s servants can expect. I’ll see to it that everything works out for the best.” God’s Decree. He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go. If you stumble, they’ll catch you; their job is to keep you from falling. You’ll walk unharmed among lions and snakes, and kick young lions and serpents from the path.

I will give thanks and sing praises to the Lord all the time.
What a beautiful thing, God, to give thanks, to sing an anthem to you, the High God!

I will always respect and obey my father and mother so my life will be long and good.
Honor your father and mother so that you’ll live a long time in the land that God, your God, is giving you. (Exodus 20:12)

I do good things because You’re in my heart.
A good person produces good deeds and words season after season. An evil person is a blight on the orchard. (Matthew 12:35)

Thank You, Father; that you never leave me alone or give up on me.
Don’t be obsessed with getting more material things. Be relaxed with what you have. Since God assured us, “I’ll never let you down, never walk off and leave you.”

I am an overcomer! Your Word makes me a winner at all times.
And I got it, thank God! In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade.

Thank You, Jesus, that because I know You, You give me everything I need to live a good life.
Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God. The best invitation we ever received!

Because I have Your Word I know the truth, and the truth makes me free.
Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you.

No one can take my joy from me, for Jesus is my joy and His joy makes me strong.
The sadness you have right now is similar to that pain, but the coming joy is also similar. When I see you again, you’ll be full of joy, and it will be a joy no one can rob from you. He continued, “Go home and prepare a feast, holiday food and drink; and share it with those who don’t have anything: This day is holy to God. Don’t feel bad. The joy of God is your strength!”

I have put Your Word in my heart, and I know You hear and answer my prayer when I pray.
The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. And it’s as good as done. That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything.

Thank you, Jesus, for giving me a chance to do great things for Your Kingdom.
“I see what you’ve done. Now see what I’ve done. I’ve opened a door before you that no one can slam shut. You don’t have much strength, I know that; you used what you had to keep my Word. You didn’t deny me when times were rough.

Thank You, Jesus, that You see and know what makes me happy, and You give me my heart’s desire.
Keep company with God, get in on the best.

Jesus, Your Word keeps me doing things that please You.
I’ve banked your promises in the vault of my heart so I won’t sin myself bankrupt.

(Psalm 119:11)

I take the shield of faith and I stop all the fiery darts of the devil. I am able to stand against all of his mean tricks with the Word of God.
So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way.

(Ephesians 6:11)

The sword of the spirit is the Word of God. When I say what God says it brings me life and makes me strong.
Break open your words, let the light shine out, let ordinary people see the meaning. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon.

Thank You for forgiving me of everything bad I’ve ever done and for taking sickness away from my life so I can be well and praise You.
O my soul, bless God, don’t forget a single blessing! He forgives your sins—every one. He heals your diseases—every one.

So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper.
